Michel Foucault imagined heterotopia as a space capable of containing, virtually and in unison, multiple times and spaces, whose coexistence would be impossible in any other context.
The Museu de Cultures del Món, housing a silent collection of objects and figures from around the world, is a heterotopic space par excellence. Avenida Paradise aims to put in contact and aims the virtuality of the museum with the materiality of the physical space that houses it: its memory, its architecture, and the power relations that sustain it, in a neighborhood that rushes to its own demise.
